NEW HARMONY, Ind. -- James Lowell Gladish, 69, died Wednesday afternoon at Florida Hospital South in Orlando, Fla.
He retired as a vocational electrical instructor after 20 years with the Florida Department of Corrections.
He was a Korean War Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia (Kemmerling); three sons, David Lyke of New Harmony, Bryan Lyke of Mount Vernon and Don Stephen Gladish of Orlando; his mother, Edna Gladish of Hazleton; three sisters, Emma Hower of Poseyville, Marilyn Garland of Chandler and Mary Creedon of Princeton; two brothers, Eugene of Princeton and George of Fort Branch; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Werry Funeral Home New Harmony Chapel, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
