- Dail Columbus Pearson, 75, of Mabton died Tuesday at his home.
Mr. Pearson was born in Phoenix and raised and educated in Holbrook, Ariz. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a heavy-equipment operator for I.U.O.E. Local 301 and 370, farmed on the slope in Royal City and worked on the Alaska Pipeline.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary "Rosie" Pearson of Mabton; nine children, Dolores Keith of Moses Lake, Wash., Mickey Pearson of Mattawa, Deborah Webb of Kent, Wash., Tim Pearson of Ephrata, Wash., Mike Aarlie of Mabton, Tina DeLay of Royal City, John Aarlie of Mabton, Tami Bevan of Redding, Calif., and Cindy Hancock of Yakima; a brother, Dorney Pearson; a sister, Sybil Mullin of Oregon; 26 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Viewing and visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
