- Edna Kerrick, 83, Edna, Kan., died Nov. 5, 1993, at a hospital in Coffeyville, Kan. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the North Edna, Kan., Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, Edna, or after 10 a.m. today at the Bath Chapel, Altamont, Kan. The family suggests contributions to the new organ fund at the church. Mrs. Kerrick was born in Salina, Kan., and lived in Hermitage, Mo., moving to Edna in 1991. She was a member of the church. Her husband, Winston Kerrick, died in 1991. Survivors include a sister, Carrie Ross, and a niece, Virginia Ross, both of Edna.

- Edna's nickname was "Pudgie". Her fIrst husbands name was Frank Slaughter. At the time of Edna's father
death in 1937 she lived in Chicago, IL. She worked as a secretary for a garment company in Kansas City,
Mo. Edna had no children. She was a great cook. She cooked Thanksgiving dinner for her family,
including her sisters and their families. She lived in Kansas City Mo. with her second husband, Winston.
Thev later moved to Hermitage. Mo., where she was involved in church work at the Hermitage Methodist
Church. She was baptized there at the age of 83. When Winston died, Edna moved to Edna, Ks .. and built
a duplex which she shared with her sister Carrie and niece Virginia Ross
Her obituary reads as follows:
Edna Kerrick, 83, of Edna, KS., passed away Friday (Nov. 5, 1993) in the Coffeyville regional Medical
Center after a short illness. She was born Dec. 6, 1909, in Salina to Alfred and Celia (Paul) Andrist. She
was married to Winston Kerrick and he preceded her in death in January of 1991. She was a member of the
First Baptist Church of Edna. Survivors include one sister, Carrie Ross of Edna; and one neice, Virginia
Ross of Edna. She is preceded in death by one brother and six sisters. Grave side services and burial will
be at 10:30 AM. Monday at the North Edna Cemetery. Visitation will be from9 AM. to 10 AM. Monday at the
First Baptist Church in Edna.
A memorial has been established to the First Baptist Church to be used for the Organ Fund.
Friends may call after 10 AM. today at the Bath Funeral Home in Altamont.
