Rose Lindy Obituary
Rose Lindy, 78, died yesterday at her home, 2455 E. Fourth St. Miss Lindy, a graduate nurse, had lived in California 43 years and in Long Beach nine months, coming here from Lynwood. For 22 years she had lived in Imperial Valley. She was born in Clay County*, Ind., and attended the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a brother, R. F. Lindy of Union, Ind.; nieces Mrs. LaNelle Fosholdt of Long Beach and Mrs. Grace Young of San Bernardino; nephews, John Lindy of Long Beach, Frank Lindy of Brawley and Byron Lindy of Colton. Funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Mottell's chapel, Rev. Robert B. Shattuck of Calvary Presbyterian Church officiating.
*I believe this should be Clay Township, Pike County, Indiana, not Clay County. |

- Rose Lindy was interred in Lot 2 of Section 6939 on 06/26/1947. There is a marker on the grave. To locate grave, she is in the semi circle by our Normandie entrance. Look for curb number 6937 (cement curb markers which go around the park) Walk back 4+ rows into the semi circle and then look for her marker. Section 6937 is an irregular section, thus the 4+ rows designation.

**I visited the cemetery on 9/1/2010. When facing the semi-circle, count 5 rows in, and she is the 8th grave in from the edge of the semi-circle.
