- MATTINGLY, RUBY NELL, 91, beloved wife and mother, of Edgewood. Passed away on January 25, 2005. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.
She received her Master's Degree at East Texas State University in Commerce. On December 24, 1939, Ruby Nell was married to Virgil H. Mattingly. She was a teacher for the Mesquite and Dallas I.S.D. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Edgewood. She lived in Dallas prior to moving to Edgewood. She is survived by her husband, Virgil H. Mattingly, of Edgewood; son, Jack V. Mattingly & wife, Jane, of Edgewood; 2 daughters, Janelle Erickson & husband, Don, of Littleton, Colorado and Joy Nassour & husband, Mike, of Austin; daughter-in-law, Geri Mattingly, of Rowlett; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
