  	Doris Jeanelle Hicks, 99, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011. She was born Nov. 21, 1911, to John Lester and Alberta Lillian (Tillett) Hicks, in Morrillton, Ark. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Pauline and Montine; and her husband, Delmar. Survivors include daughter, Martha (Jerry) Woods; son, Hugh Hicks; granddaughters, Jeanelle (Jeff) VerWayne, Morgan (Travis) Patten, Pam (Tim) Kroskie and Cassandra Hicks; and five great-grandchildren. Doris attended Arkansas State Teachers College, and received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Butler University. She retired in 1976, after more than 20 years teaching at Granville Wells School. She was a member of and taught Sunday school at North Christian Church in Advance for more than 40 years. Calling will be 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, 223 N. Meridian St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Steve Rich officiating.
