Mildred G. Rumble
Mildred G. Rumble, 87, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. She was a resident of Petersburg.
She was born April 20, 1912, in Knox County. Her parents were Peter and Shirly (Norton) Cardinal. She married Orace L. Rumble. He preceded her in death June 2, 1977. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Rumble of Greenwood and Orace Lee Rumble of Indianapolis; three brothers, William Cardinal of Olney, Ill., David Cardinal of Sun City, Ariz., and Robert Cardinal of Oroville, Calif.; four sisters, Vera Cornelius of Loogootee, Elizabeth Helm of New Concord, Ky., Kathy Allison of Valley Park, Mo., and Martha Paxton of Greenville, Ky.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Orville, Joseph and Leon Cardinal.
She attended Free Methodist Church, and she was a 50-year member of Rebeccas.
The Pastor Paul Newton will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. today at Harris Funeral Homes in Petersburg. Friends may call from 8 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg.
