- VINCENNES, Ind. -- J. Bryan Elliott, 70, of Vincennes, died at 9;26 p.m. Thursday at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. The World War II veteran was member First Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 420, Hazleton Scottish Rite, Hadi Shrine, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, 40 & 8 and Mount Carmel Elks Lodge. Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth Coleman; a daughter, Beth Toepfer of Haubstadt; a son, Jay of Vincennes; two brothers, Gordon of Hazleton and J.C. of Oakland City; and a grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Garder Funeral Home, with burial in Shiloh Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be at 7 p.m.
