- William Schlomer, 71, died Monday June 20, 2005 at West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange, Ga. He has been a resident of LaGrange for 28 years.
Schlomer was born January 16, 1934, in Vincennes., son of the late Joseph and Edna Bowers Schlomer. He served in the U.S. Army for 21 years. He also, retired from Georgia Pacific Plywood, then drove a school bus for seven years, for the Troup County School System, both in LaGrange, Ga.
Survivors include, his wife, Sara Hatfield Schlomer, LaGrange; four sons, Donald Schlomer, Almonte Springs, Fla.; Tim Schlomer, and Daniel Schlomer both of LaGrange; three sisters, Helen Bennett; Dorothy Sievers; Mary Ruth Barnes, all of Vincennes; three brothers, Jim Schlomer, Vincennes; Harold Schlomer, Bicknell, Ind.; Cletus Schlomer, Indianapolis; and five grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2005, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in LaGrange, Ga. In Lieu of Flowers contributions may be made to the building fund or St. Peter's Catholic Church or St. Vincent de Paul Society. Contributions for both may be sent to 200 Lafayetta Parkway, LaGrange, GA, 30240.
