- Joyce E. Walker, nee Williams, 80, of Collinsville, Ill., born May 11, 1930 in St. Louis, Mo., died Friday, May 29, 2010 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Mrs. Walker retired after 25 years as a secretary for Madison, Ill., middle schools. She was a member of Christ Unity Church in Collinsville, and a former Sunday school teacher at First Assembly of God in Granite City, Ill. She loved to sing and perform belonging to the Sweet Adeline's and was an avid Cardinals fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Charity, nee Bucher, Williams; and a brother, John Ackerman.
Surviving are her husband, Willard R. Walker Jr.; a son, Thomas Walker of Collinsville, Ill.; two daughters, Carol Walker of Riverside, Ill., and Linda Walker of Alton, Ill.; three grandchildren, Joel Charity, and Daniel Rambeaux; a great-grandchild, Sophie Rambeaux-Olsen; four sisters, Jeanette Stiers, Lynda (Robert) Drake, Sandra Williams, and Jeanne (Neil) Lanman; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Rev. Karen Landwehr officiating. Interment will be Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
