- Lloyd J. Andrist, 83, Lee's Summit, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2005. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 13 at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 1815 NE Independence Ave., Lee's Summit, MO, 64064. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S. Raytown Rd., KCMO, 64149. Burial will be in Longview Memorial Gardens.
Lloyd was born May 12, 1921, in Kansas City, MO, to Walter and Esther (Hurth) Andrist. He worked for 30 years as a lithographer and retired from Fine Art. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving in WWII. He was a member of the 29th Bomber Wing Association.
He kept the family together and was a strong family man. He never met a stranger and loved to travel.
Survivors include his wife Irene Andrist, of the home; daughters Linda Lynch, Lee's Summit, MO, Charlene Russell and her husband Jack, Afton, OK, Judy Percivill, Riesel, TX; seven grandchildren, Cindy Zechel, Richard Bolling, Tammie Ramos, Larry Bradley, Jr., Lisa Berkstresser, Diamond Purcivall, Desiree Tye; nine great-grandchildren, Tiffany Zeckel, Brooke Zeckel, Faith Zeckel, Anthony Bolling, Miguel Ramos, Larry Bradley, III, Bradley Berkstresser, Adrienne Berkstresser, Sydney Tye.
