- Evansville, Ind. Eliot Carson Young, 46, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Eliot was born in Evansville, Indiana, on September 4, 1965. He was a 1983 graduate of F.J. Reitz High School and a 1985 graduate of Vincennes University, University earning an Associates Associate's Degree in Laser-Electronics Technology. After graduating college, Eliot worked seven years at Field Container in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, where he was a laser computer technician. Upon returning to Evansville, he worked at Reis Catering. Eliot then worked in management for Two Men and a Truck. He was currently bartending at the Hilltop Inn.
Eliot loved to cook, read and NASCAR racing. He was a member of Reed Masonic Lodge #316 and a member of Hadi Shrine Temple in Evansville. Eliot was president of the Hadi Shrine Temple Directors in 2009 and 2010 and a member of the Swords of Bunker Hill. He was also a member of the Hadi Mariners and the hospital staff. Eliot is survived by his parents, Carson and Linda (Simpson) Young; brother, Scott Young (Melissa); niece, Adison; and nephews, Nathan and Justin.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2012, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Avenue, with Rev. Art Christmas officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from noon until 6 P.M. Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Browning Funeral Home. The Reed Lodge will conduct a Masonic service at 5:30 walk walk-p.m. with a walk walk-through at 5 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eliot Young Benevolence Fund at any Old National Bank location or to the Hadi Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund, 6 Walnut Street, Evansville, IN 47708, in memory of Eliot Young.
