John Bunner Obituary

Kansas City, Kan.—The funeral for John V. Bunner, 79, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Fulton-Nickel Chapel here. burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery here.

Mr. Bunner died Sunday at his home. He was born at Ava, Mo., and had lived most of his life in Kansas City, Kan.

He retired in 1962 as a switchman for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, where he had been employed 20 years. He later worked as a sales representative for the Knapp Shoe Co. He was a member of the Kaw Valley Rock Club.

Survivors include his widow. Mrs. Gladys Butler Bunner of the home; two sons, John L. Bunner and Robert L. Bunner, both of Kansas City, Kan.; five daughters, Mrs. Lois Edith Allen, Kansas City, Mrs. Betty J. Dragush, Basehor, Mrs. Bonnie L. Martin, Carson, Calif., Mrs. Joan Burgess, Norco, Calif., and Mrs. Barbara Sommers, Wilmington, Calif.; a stepson, Douglas Torode, Kansas City; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Imogene Torode Bunner, Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Doris Moulder, Lee's Summit; 28 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
