Paolo Baleno Obituary

Paolo Baleno, 79, of 1108 Blandina St. a retired Joseph & Feiss Co. employe, died yesterday in a local hospital.

He was born in Ausonio, Italy. He married Angela Petronio in1903 in Italy and the couple came to Utica shortly thereafter. Mr. Baleno had worked for various local tailoring firms, retiring from Joseph & Feiss 11 years ago.

He as a founder and charter member of the Maria Santissima del Piano Society and had served 20 years as its financial secretary. He was made an honorary member when he retired as secretary two years ago.

Mr. Baleno's first wife died in 1930. The next year he married Vincenza DeGironimo in Utica. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters; Mrs. Jerry (Mary) Vivenzo, Mrs. Salvatore (Adeline) Cosco, Mrs. Carmen (Edith) Mandia, and Mrs. Frank (Ann) Dapice; a son, Dominick, all of Utica, and three brothers, Fred and Guy, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Bernardo, Italy.

The funeral will be at 9 Monday from the Eannce Funeral Home and 9:30 from St. Anthony of Padua Church with a solemn requiem Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow and Sunday. The Maria Santissima Society will meet at 7:30 Sunday Night.
