Rocco Rizzo Obituary
Rocco A. Rizzo, 57, of 1535 Madison Ave., former proprietor of Rizzo's Restaurant, Seneca Turnpike, Kirkland, died Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born in Utica, son of Frank and Assunta Ambrose Rizzo. He attended local schools and had served with the ARmy during World War II.
He worked for the New York Central Railroad for 11 years. He operated the restaurant from 1967 until 1972.
He was a member of St. Agnes Church.
He leaves three brothers, Pasquale, Sacramento, Calif., Dominick, Penn Brooke Pines, Fla., and Michael, Utica, and two sisters, Mrs. Peter (Marion) Tenenini and Mrs. Daniel (Rose) Cotrupe, both of Utica.
The funeral will be at 8:30 Wednesday from the Matt Funeral Home and at 9 from St. Agnes Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Monday and Tuesday.
