- Edith's nickname was "Deedie". Family members say she was a good student and excelled in Latin. Edith's
fIrst husband was Ernie Wood. They had a child (Celia) that died at birth. They divorced. Edith married
Charles Fragman, her second husband. They both worked at the Bomber Plant in Kansas City, Kansas,
which is now General Motors. They had no children. Her address is listed in Pleasant Hill, Mo. at the time
of her fathers death in 1937. She lived in Pleasant Hill with her husband Charles where he ran a hardware
store. Edith worked as a secretary for McKessen Pharmaceutics. When she retired, she and her sister
Olive moved to Edna, Kansas. They liked the small town life. Edith is buried at Memorial Park Cemetery
in Kansas City, Ks.
