- KENAI, Alaska -- Gary Max Just, 69, of Kenai, Alaska, died Oct. 27, 2009. He was born the son of Frank and Gertrude (Phillips) Just on Aug. 22, 1940, in Salina, Kan. He was an engine mechanic but also had many other skills. He lived and worked in Colorado, Oregon and Alaska for 25 years and Costa Rica. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Louis and Gail; and a sister, Dorothy Terzian.
Survivors include three children, Barry, Lisa and Tina; four brothers, Jack and wife Norma, of Garden City, Kan., Frank and wife Darlene, of Fort Collins, Colo., Vernon and wife Judith, of Wichita, Kan., and Glen and wife Jane, of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Doris Keith, of McMinn-ville, Ore.; two grandchildren, Evan and River; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Gary will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. There will be no visitation and no memorials were suggested. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is in charge of arrangements.
