WAKARUSA - Donald Gene Copeland, 77, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at his residence.
Donald was born August 8, 1933 in Lebanon, Indiana to Millard F. and Mary Margaret (Roberts) Copeland.
Donald married Wanda Geneva Hicks on August 15, 1952 in Hazelrigg, Indiana. She preceded him in death on August 1, 1995.
Donald is survived by two daughters, Diana (Thomas) Buzalski of Vandalia, Michigan and Donna (John E.) Bowers of Wakarusa, Indiana, two sons, David Copeland of Martinsville, Indiana and Mikel (Jennifer) Copeland of Wakarusa, Indiana, a Sister, Joan (Rick) Culley of Lafayette, IN and 3 brothers, Rev. James. R. (Martha Jane) Copeland of Fort Wayne, IN Richard Dean Copeland of Wilson, MI, and Millard Carter (Esther) Copeland of Lebanon, IN, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Donald was a dental lab technician and former owner of Professional Dental Lab. He also worked at Stahly Produce in Wakarusa, Mishawaka Dental lab and was also a farmer. Donald was in the National Guard. Donald was a member of Baugo Church of the Brethren and enjoyed hunting, golfing, and fishing in Canada.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 2-7 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, Wakarusa. Funeral service will be held at Baugo Church of the Brethren on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 10 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor David Stackhouse will be officiating.
