- LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.--Harold Richard "Dick" Stiles, 69, of Lawrenceville, Ga., died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Crawford-Long Hospital of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. of an acute heart attack.
He was born September 11, 1932, in Hazleton. He worked as a carpenter, contractor and other construction trades until the time of his death. He was an avid fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Barbara Ruth (Elliott) Stiles; two sons, Michael R. Stiles of Morgantown, Ga. and James B. Stiles of Lawrenceville; a daughter, Patricia J. Fetcher of Ft. Branch; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Chester Stiles of Terre Haute and Roger Stiles of Oxnard, Calif.; a sister, June Kreig of Francisco; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edward and Florence Louise (Thorne) Stiles; a brother, James; and three sisters, Glendora Rachel Warth, Irene Hill and Evelyn Robb.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 20 at Hazleton United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
There will be no visitation at Colvin Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be mad eto Hazleton Youth Baseball League.
