The funeral for Mrs. Valerie Celia Just, 87, Martinez, Calif., will be at 2 pm Thursday at Connolly & Taylor funeral home, Martinez. Burial will be in a cemetery near Martinez.
Mrs. Just died Monday at Golden Age nursing home, Martinez. She was born Feb 14, 1890, in Bavaria, Kas., and lived in Salina until she and her husband moved to Martinez in 1946. Her husband preceded her in death on July 7, 1964.
Survivors are 3 sons, Birdsell, 810 E. Jewell, Salina; Robert (Bud), 128 E. Republic, Salina, and Tom, Berkley, Calif.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Wilma Brookhouser, Martinez; Mrs. Celia Beach, Ft. Collins, Colo., and Mrs. Reba Root, Southfield, Mich.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Olive may and Mrs. Carrie Ross, both of Edna, Kas., and Mrs. Edna Kerrick, Hermitage, Mo.; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.Age 87 years Buried Nov 1977 Memory Gardens Cemetery, Concord, Contra Costa, California, USA - Block 202, Space 10
Valrie Andrist Just Headstone Notes - Valrie was a homemaker. Valrie's nickname was "Val", according to Olive. She lived in Salina. Ks. most of
her life. She moved to Martinez, Ca., following her husband's retirement and remained there until her death.

Valarie did not die in Crockett, Ca. she passed here in Martinez in case you would like to set the record straight. She never lived in Crockett. When she and Earl migrated from Salina to CA they lived with us in Pinole for quite sometime. My dad got Earl a job at the Travelers Hotel in Martinez as the maintenance man. He & Val moved to Martinez in the late 40s or early 50s and never left.

The bride was attended by Miss Letha Smart of Culver. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Andrist of the City hotel. Mr. Just is employed with the Dodds grocery. Mr. and Mrs. Just will go to housekeeping at once on West Elm, where they will be at home to their many friends.Children + 1.
