If Earl W. Andrist hadn't suddenly jumped up and leaped out a window at 1529 20th St., San Bernardino police might not have picked him up.
But since the flight surprised the officers Andrist was picked up on suspicion of being AWOL following a call from the U. S. Air Force at Norton Base.
