- LINDY, Lavone (Schlotterbeck) Age 95, formerly of Dayton, of Cincinnati for the last 7 years, was born July 2, 1911, in Eldorado, OH.
Preceded in death by husband Harry D. Lindy. Survived by 2 sons, Robert and wife Gerlinde of Cullowhee, NC, Thomas and wife Sue of Maineville, OH, 2 brothers, Ray Schlotterbeck, Marietta, OH, Frederick Schlotterbeck, Richmond, IN, 1 sister, Pauline (Schlotterbeck) Houseman, Piqua, OH, 4 grandchildren, Krista (Lindy) Jaeger and husband Rolf, Jonathan Lindy and wife Ann, Jeremy Lindy and wife, Kristen. 6 Great grandchildren, Matthew and Katherine Jaeger, Liam, Tiernan, Aidan and Adare Lindy.
Lavone resided on Burgess Ave in Dayton from 1955 to 1989 and at 10 Wilmington Place in Dayton from 1989 to 1998 and lived in the Dayton area for 62 years. She was a 60-year member of Riverdale Congregational Church. Lavone volunteered 45 years of her service as Gray Lady for American Red Cross Dayton VA Hospital.
Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made the American Red Cross, Dayton Chapter or the Hospice of Cincinnati in Lavone's memory.
